Nightmarish Anticipation for Second Korean War

Los Angeles — Is the second Korea War looming ahead? In a sense, yes. I cannot prevent myself from thinking of it news reports from Japan.
The Yomiuri Shimbun reports Friday that the Japanese and U.S. governments have begun work to strengthen a cooperative system in the event of a contingency on the Korean Peninsula, including the creation of a plan to evacuate civilians of the two countries living in South Korea.
The joint military plan is nothing but an “eager” anticipation for war in the Korea Peninsula to.
The joint operation plan to be revised is Concept Plan 5055, in line with the code number of a U.S. military operation. When co-signed by the two countires early 2002, the joint plan was rather a “directional” plan to enable the US to use harbors and territorial sky of Japan in the event of a military crisis on the Korean Peninsula and take preventive measures against “terrorist” attacks by North Korean agents. Now they want to enhance it to a “more concretely executalbe” plan.
Accordignt to the Yomiuri, work to draw up the evacuation plan started late last year amid growing tension on the peninsula following missile launches and a nuclear test by North Korea.
In late November, the Japanese government held a meeting in which eight ministries and agencies, including the Foreign Ministry, the Defense Agency and the Construction and Transport Ministry, participated and agreed on a policy to make government-wide efforts to revise the plan, the Yomiuri reports, adding: the U.S. military has asked Japan for authorization to use about 30 private airports and sea ports according to levels of contingencies and proposed to start on-site research from spring.
According to the Yomiuri report, the Japanese government wants to revise the joint plan so that Japan can use Self-Defense Forces transport aircraft and ships in the evacuation operation, aiming to reach an agreement with Washington in autumn.
This would be the core that Japan under mliltary-revivalist Abe Shinzo wants to get from the US under warlike George W. Bush who seems to forget Pearl Harbor.
The Yomiuri also reports the two countries plan to specify private airports and sea ports in Japan that the U.S. military can use in the event of emergencies on the peninsula and decide on a joint missile-defense operation and continues:
As for missile defense, the Japanese government has envisaged a plan to enable the SDF from March to the end of fiscal 2010 to deploy 16 PAC3 interceptor missile units and four Aegis destroyers equipped with SM3 standard missiles. The plan also calls on the U.S. troops stationed in Japan for deploying five SM3-equipped Aegis vessels by summer. In addition to the deployment of interceptor missiles by the SDF and U.S. military, the two countries also aim to set the procedures to share information and make counterattacks when a ballistic missile is launched.
Now Japanese government publicly says of “entry into a war” – namely in the event of contingency in the Korean Peninsula as well as “revision” of its “peace constitution” into “war constitution”.
Japanese intentions and moves these days are a nightmare to all Koreans regardless of north and south.
