Pyongyang — William Perry, former US special envoy on the north Korean affairs, who failed in the hawkish policy against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, is now mad again with war fever against the DPRK.

At the US House Foreign Relations Committee session days ago, he made bellicose remarks that “the north Korean nuclear program will do a great threat to the United States” and “if the diplomatic policy does not work, the United States need to take a last single option to destroy the nuclear facilities of north Korea”.

Perry was a heinous war maniac and a chief neo-conservative of the United States, who advocated “bombardment on the Nyongbyon nuclear facilities of north Korea” and “preemptive strike on north Korea” in the 1990s when the showdown was acute between the DPRK and the US.

He had employed every possible method to collapse the DPRK militarily, but failed and discharged from the Defense Secretary at that time. After he was designated as Washington’s point man on the DPRK affairs, he made his utmost efforts to achieve the ambition of aggression he had dreamed during the days of Defense Secretary. Finally, however, he could not but issue the so-called “Perry report” which asserted the United States could “neither destroy nor change north Korea but approach with negotiations, not with military option”.

He might make the bellicose remarks days ago in a bid to lighten even a little the shame of defeat he sustained while working as a special envoy for the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula.

Still, however, he does not know that the policy of nuclear threat cannot work on the DPRK.

He has lost the lesson of the 1990s when he had advocated “surgical operation-style strike” and ‘preemptive strike” against the DPRK but yielded to its ultra tough counteractions.

Perry who had served as the Defense Secretary of the “world’s only super power” does not know the DPRK too much.

The “surgical operation-style strike” and “preemptive strike” can never be effective upon the DPRK.

The army and people of the DPRK are full of the life-or-death resolve to devotedly defend the dignified Juche-based socialist system, and the country has the mighty self-defensive war deterrence enough to defeat whatever invaders at a stroke.

If the United State touches off a war against the DPRK, they will achieve final victory in the war, by giving vent to the anti-American hatred pent up through centuries.

Perry, though being discharged from the official post, advocates as ever the “military option” to stir up the American belligerents, caught by the senile dream of war. But he needs to know it will hasten destruction of the United State.
